What is Ramadan? π✨
Ramadan is the holiest month in the Islamic calendar, observed by Muslims around the world through fasting, prayer, and self-reflection. It is a time of spiritual growth, increased devotion, and acts of kindness. From dawn to sunset, Muslims refrain from eating, drinking, and other physical needs as a way to purify the soul and grow closer to God.
This sacred month also emphasizes charity, gratitude, and strengthening bonds with family and community. The fast is broken at sunset with a meal called Iftar, while the pre-dawn meal is known as Suhoor. The last ten nights of Ramadan are especially significant, as they include Laylat al-Qadr (The Night of Decree), believed to be the most blessed night of the year.
Ramadan ends with the joyous celebration of Eid al-Fitr, a day of gratitude, festivity, and sharing with loved ones. May this Ramadan bring peace, happiness, and countless blessings to all. πΏπ #RamadanKareem #WhatIsRamadan.
